As a top fire alarm systems' sales professional in southeast Florida for the past 12 years, I found myself spending most of my time over the past three years educating people about fire alarms, code requirements and fire alarm installations. The local fire departments had started enforcing codes that had been in effect for years but never communcated to apartment buildings, condominiums, public buildings, etc.

Somehow, literally thousands of fire alarms are needed in buildings throughout Florida, in buildings never previously having one. Unfortunately, there are a limited number of fire alarm contracators in the area and even fewer with experience or interest in installing new systems in older buildings.
